"Intermediate Mild and Stainless Steel TIG Class" - October 22nd and 23rd

Join us for our first intermediate stainless TIG Class. This intermediate/advanced course focuses on mild steel and stainless-steel tube joints of various thicknesses, in addition to mild steel notched/coped joint welding. These style joints are very commonly used in exhaust fabrication, header fabrication, roll cage fabrication, boiler work and more.

This course is designed  to provide as much hands on touch time as possible. The end goal is to better prepare the students to have the welding knowledge needed to ensure proper welds are being laid on the work they fabricate.

Each class features 3 welding stations, using HTP TIG welders, with 2 participants per station. Class size is limited to 6 participants and the cost is $250 per participant.  Reservations will be taken on a first come basis. The appropriate attire is required: long sleeves or welding sleeves, close toed shoes, pants, TIG gloves, welding helmet, and a respirator. 

Class 1: October 22 from 9-1

Class 2: October 22 from 2-6

Class 3: October 23rd from 9-1

Class 4: October 23rd from 2-6

About the Teacher: 

Nicole Latronica completed her welding and fabrication apprenticeship at world renowned performance shop AMS Performance and later continuing to work for another Hot Rod shop, primarily welding roll cages. Her experience ranges from welding and fabricating for a company that armored various government and special forces unit vehicles for ballistic applications, structural collision repair sectioning and welding, and even machine shop welding work for a highly recognized engine builder in the Midwest. She primarily specializes in TIG welding and fabrication for high performance forced induction applications. She is now currently and mainly subcontracting through her business Tron Precision Welding LLC to Turbo Joe Fabrications in Plainfield, where they specialize in building custom turbo kits and custom one-off fabrication work. Nicole has worked on two award winning SEMA builds and will be doing work on a upcoming SEMA build as well.

-Mild steel tube welding 

-Back purge demo

-Stainless steel tube welding and Schedule 40 stainless steel tube welding

-Mild steel tube notched/coped joint weld
